Dear Lord, hear my prayer, for my
heart is aching tonight-
My little girl has left us, and
she's walking toward your light.

I know her heart is frightened,
So please, hold her hand-
Send an angel to guide her through,
And help her understand.

She likes a little light on, Lord,
when she lays down to sleep-
And maybe a little teddy bear
that she can love and keep.

May your light from Heaven
encircle her in love-
And wrap her up in peace and joy,
that comes from up above.

Oh, how I'm going to miss her,
This little girl so sweet-
She talked often of her Jesus, and
how they would one day meet.

It came too soon for me, Oh,
It's so hard to let her go-
I am so lost without her, Lord, but
she's with you I know!

Take care of your newest angel,
I place her in your care-
Her little life was sad, but
I know she's happy there!

My tears are flowing--my heart aches--
Please oh Lord, help me-
To understand why she had to go, Oh
please just let me see!

Comfort us here on earth, as
we carry on day by day-
For we will miss her much more
than words can ever say.

I thank you for the five years
that you gave her to me-
The happy times we had with her-- such
a precious memory!

In sickness, Lord, she left this world,
but she will not suffer anymore-
For I know you healed her, the
moment she reached Heaven's door!

So hard to lose the ones we love. In the past two years I've lost 4 people close to me. I can share and identify with the pain in this poem. In the end we rely on our faith to sustain us and we keep the memories alive, for as long as we walk this earth. Absolutely beautiful.
Be well and be safe, always

Awful heart wrenching. this is a beautiful plea full of understanding and questioning at the same time. The words carried me through this nightmare to the final serene-like ending. Excellent. Liz

This a very beautiful write. Thank you for all that you have done for my son Zack. You will always be in my heart forever. I wish I could meet you. I want you to know that although we have never met I love you. You are such a wonderful woman. This poem you know has touched me in a way I hope no one would ever have to go through. You have read my heart.

THIS TOUCHED ME DEEPLY AS MY FRIEND'S 20 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER LAYS IN A COMA. SHE'S MY SONS EX-GIRLFRIEND, ALSO. THEY ARE STILL CLOSE. MY HEART ACHES AND TEARS FLOW AS MY SON ASK ME TO PRAY FOR HER, BECAUSE THAT IS ALL I CAN DO. HER NAME IS BRITTINY AND HER BEST FRIEND WAS A PASSENGER. HER FRIEND'S HIP IS SHATTERED. BRITTINY, IF SHE WAKES WILL BE PARALIZED ON THE RIGHT SIDE.(FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIEND DRIVE DRUNK)I WISH HER FRIEND WOULD HAVE TOOK THE KEYS.

I like the rhyme, the heartfelt consideration of the poem. People can relate to this, whether they've experienced it or not. It is a skill to take something very personal and convert it into something everyone can relate to.

take comfort in the fact she's in a better place, shes safe now, well looked after, and no doubt wanting you and yours to look after yourselves...heaven is the last stop, you'll see her someday... she was called...it dont make it easier your grief, nothing said nor done ever will, take comfort in her memory and the times you shared, they themselves are what it makes it all worthwhile...take care Linda...believe me she's happy and well looked after in heaven...Mark xx
