Growing old is wonderful
Because the other alternative is death
Therefore, cling to your life, stay healthy
And cherish every life-giving breath.
Keep the body busy with activity
Dance joyously to your favorite tune
Go for a long walk in the afternoon
Or take an evening stroll under the moon.
Nurture the body and mind daily
By eating healthy foods you need
Forget those words, “I don’t like…”
And realize that food acts like a seed
What goes in your mouth can help or hurt you
By making you sick or keeping you well
You should feel good all the time
If not, mind and body will quickly tell.
We love sugar, we love fast food
We cater to the things we want and desire
Thus, sometimes destroying good health
Before we realize what foods we require.
So here’s a clue to help you with diet;
If you wake up feeling less than good that day
Consider what you’ve been eating lately
And start a balanced diet without delay.
