Another from the Library of Congress series for the sight impaired...from my youth! I love hearing from The Den. You are the best. Thank you!

You'll never be rich

You'll never be poor

You'll never be a virgin

And you'll never be a whore

You'll never get to heaven

You'll never go to hell

You'll never learn right from wrong

Because there's nothing there to tell

You'll never know the word "happy"

Though lonely is an old friend

You'll never start at the beginning

Or finish at the end

You'll never have the courage of a coward

Even though you've tried in vain, now and then

Words are just rhymes without reason

Because you have lost at love again

Hi Terry,
Another good poem about "Lost Love" but I too, didn't like the part in the beginning, in reference to hell, Heaven and the words that I don't normally see in your poems. This poem was very different than your other ones, as you seem to write this one with more anger, which is fine. That is an emotion that we all have and you did use that to it's best advantage, to describe how you felt at the time. We are all filled with emotions, both good and bad and that's part of life for all of us. So your poem puts that feeling into this poem very well. I do agree that we all need some form of love in our life also.
God Bless,
Linda T.

The emotion of love is so abstract that everyone must love someone or something at some point in their lives. Enlightened writing...

Be always safe,

This poem is alright, just didn't like the lines you'll never get to Heaven you'll never get to Hell. Besides that is is a good rhyming poem.

Terry,

How true in your poem, without love, we cease to feel. Wonderfully written.
