Print Save Become a Fan
Things have changed.
We snuck close, unbeknownst to ourselves
And scrapped old intentions-
Until they returned.
We were right all along,
We knew it all along,
But the brakes were shot by then.
Now it ends all over again,
Just as the beginnings arrive-
Irony at its cruelest.
I think I'm ready, if I'm going to be;
But I can't break your code, or you the hold
Until doors are opened,
Off to begin college on Thursday ... should be excited, I know, but partings are so hard.
