A baby's first Christmas is a family milestone and something to be remembered, long after the baby grows to adulthood.

Whether you have babies at home or your children are grown with babies of their own, I hope all of you have the merriest and brightest of Christmases and the happiest and healthiest of years in 2009!

The first chance to be mesmerized by a bow
The first chance to feel the warmth from the fire
The first chance to witness the tree all aglow
And learn of the wonder in Christmas desire
The first chance to sit upon dear Santa’s knee
The first chance for sharing with family near
The first chance for dreaming of all that can be
A baby’s first Christmas is sweet and sincere.
This time is for caring about those we love
The beautiful moments, so priceless and rare
As well as the blessings, given from above
The gifts God has graciously chosen to bear
No greater a treasure could there ever be
Than the sacred fortune of a newborn child
Instilled in each newborn is true destiny
The magic of Christmas, so precious and mild.
A newborn’s first Christmas shall ever be cherished
A memory to linger in the heart, always
A testament that innocence never perished
Such virtue rekindles at the holidays
Time must travel onward; nothing stays the same
Babies become children, ‘tis sad, but sublime
Yet deep in the heart, lies an eternal flame
An earnest tribute to babe’s first Christmastime.

A lovely writing for the season. Babies are angels...and at Christmas time they bring true meaning to those around.

Very lovely Jill. My youngest grandson is having his first Christmas this year. He's too young to understand most of what's going on but he stares at the tree as if he does understand and then smiles. It's a precious sight to see.

A new born baby in the house on Christmas time is a blessing like God has given the grace of a replica of the bethlehem one.
