This is a poem dedicated to people who have been laid off |

I am so sorry you have been
laid off at work
It can be discouraging and
lead many to give up
Please don't believe
you can't find another job
You may do the same
kind of work as someone else
but no one has the same heart
and soul as you
No one has had the exact same
experiences or feelings
So don't give up
You are a creative and
spiritual person. Keep going!

| Cindy,this poem speaks to me in so many ways.I have published my poetry book for over a year and I haven't gotten paid yet.Am I disappointed?Yeah,but should I feel sad about it and hang my head low?Absolutely not.No matter what some of my family members have to say in terms of having negative feelings about the fact that I haven't gotten paid,I will continue to write poetry until the day that I die.I'm not going to let them belittle what I have accomplished because I can honestly say that if they try to publish a book,they will not be able to do it well as I did.The greatest feeling in the world for any writer is when they have write a poem or a song.Whenever I would write a poem,I would always feel good about it because I was the one that did it.Its hard getting your book out there to the public and trying to sell it and promote it,but I won't give up.My passion is to write poetry whether I do it as a hobby and/or career.Thank you for sharing this poem,take care |
