Gift of Eternal Light

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
pausing to give thanks upon this earth,
to friends and loved ones, far and near,
rememberig our savior’s humble birth.

Season of peace, happiness, and cheer,
we gather in the spirit of eternal love,
with thankful hearts we shed but a tear,
grateful for the gifts from Heaven above.

Captive moments lost within our mind,
focusing on memories we once shared,
rekindled Spirits held in Christmas time,
remembrance of just how much we cared.

In a world of suffering and so much pain,
the essence of Christmas continues to live,
a time of reflection without worry of gain,
we feel the true joy in learning how to give.

May our Peace and Love find tomorrow,
as this year like all others comes to pass,
may we not forget our time is borrowed,
the gift of eternal light is all that will last.

Hello Samuel,

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son...." the first Giver of gifts at the first Christmas. Jesus is
the Way, the Truth, and the Light...and the Love of God incarnate.
Wonderful poem, very inspiring, and very true.
