Labor and Delivery Call

Dear God,

I tried calling your home number 777-7777. Would that be the number

to heaven?

Th e phone ranged and ranged, so I just hung up. I tried your e-mail,

I pushed send it came back to me. I thought that cannot be. You’re

always there for me. I called your home number again this time a voice

answered, she said hello, this is grace how can I help you?

Frustrated that I was, I said my name I rather not say. You see, I’ve had

a bad day. May I please speak with God? I’ve called and let the phone

ring. Wow, in the back ground I could hear the angels sing. Grace began

to listen to my frustration as I explained, I don’t think God has put me

on hold. You see, on my job we have a devil that wants control, don’t you

think that’s too bold? Grace listen on the line as I begun to unwind. She

hand the phone to mercy he began to listen too. Th ey began to explain

to me that it takes one to break and a bundle to make. Th ey went on to

say, you are not nurses that work on a unit, you are a unit of nurses that

can’t be broken. I started to say, but grace said, God has spoken, you are

his tokens. I said in a nice way, “Th en he must answer my call. I refuse

to see my unit fall. Th is is the labor and deliver call from us all.”

Th ey both smile, in Jesus’ name your call has been answered , he’ll

never let you fall.
