He Wheedles His Way In

Sometimes you don't realize its happening but it does if you let your defenses down.

He Wheedles His Way In

Satan is truly alive and well and as active as he can be.

You only have to read, listen or watch your own TV.

My faith has been visibly shaken which I couldn’t believe.

He wheedled his way in through my eyes so I could not see.

Everything had gotten blurry and affected my writing too.

Which caused me the depth of pain, for this is what I need to do.

I write to release my feelings that lie deep within my heart.

With so much focus on my eyes, I didn’t know where to start.

No matter how strong you might be, any weakness Satan will find.

He uses that weakness to show your fears lying deep within your mind.

He’s so efficient about it; you don’t even realize that it took place.

Until it’s almost too late and you think you’ve fallen from God’s grace.

But if you’re a child of God, HE will reveal Satan’s master plan.

He gives you tools to use, to pull you out of Satan’s sinking sand.

You must use all of these gifts for they come from GOD above.

Among those HE gives you are faith, strength, courage and love.

Hold on tight to these tools when Satan wheedles his way in.

Blest be the tie that binds for it keeps away temptation and sin.

Yes it does, and it always will. Only you can express it this well.

Second to last stanza "Use must use all of these gifts..." maybe has a typo.

Write on Poet!!!

We have to keep our guards up so much, we are continually being tested, and the devil's work is to spoil and waste.

And they say he has all the best tunes, too! What a conundrum!

A very touching and wise write my friend...you've penned it well and I for one too have been affected by this enemy who seeks to devour for he has nothing to loose and our souls to gain. Over the years I too have found myself a victim of his trickery one good thing comes from this...when we repent, regain our strenth and learn a lesson...but a hard one indeed! Pray on my friend and write on as your writing is very touching and will be a testimony for many to read and hopefully learn from...well done.

Wonderful poem Bonnie. We ask why, how come, and somewhere along the way most have lost their awareness of the evil one. On quiet feet he walks.

You aren't going to believe this missy...but I was proofing/editing your "My bed tried to kill me ---twice" last nite...and...I had to add a last paragraph...guess what it was? SATAN had found a way to ruin your new bed adventure, almost caused fussing with your husband...and you almost came near being smothered to death!!! I believe Satan had crept into your life about then....and failed!" anyway... here it is morning and I'm reading your new poem about the old devil himself! Thing is that you are under control again...and God wants you to write and to be able to read and see well....so...stay focused and continue to believe... I have sure missed you... hugs, linda
