Author Notes
A poet will be once again, a part of the inaugural address

So it came to pass
From ship
Where the captain
Bled his last
Held head of state
Can you relate

From a message cast upon a plate of blue
Over in the edges of truth
Lives the model
Lets us raise a glass
To the dreams we have cast

On the south side of never
From a star born in heat
We dance in conformation
Blood cold
From the street

Over in last welcome
We meet
And it is a wedding sing
A reference to the power
This union brings

Black and white
From red white and blue
Union from gray to navy hue
Here the rafters ring
As the barter sings

In a backroom in Chicago
On dark and overcast day
Read the wishes of long ago
Merger of the mind
A cleaning of the soul

So it came to pass
From ship
Where the captain
Bled his last
Held head of state
Can you relate
