A King Is Dead

The progress of people is strewn with wars

A King is Dead

When Martin Luther King, Jr. was
killed in Memphis Tennessee back on
April 4th 1968 the racial war between
whites and blacks of the South lost its
great and effective leader as the active
commander-in-chief of an undeclared
war but without uniformed soldiers
Those wanting peace at any price have
unrealistic positions and such blindness
always invites small wars for causes of
ambitious politicians and groups to
begin their little wars by killing those
who oppose and stand in their way

Amen, Bill, long live the king. One of my warm memories
is of the day I shook the hand of Martin Luter King Jr.
