After A While

After a while you get used to war .
Blood spilling , killing , and those who are willing to die .

After a while you can live with the noise .
Explosions of bombs and missiles and bullets that fly .

After a while when the smoke clears the air .
You see everyone around you is wiping their eye .

Then after a while the war escalates .
More innocent die to justify the reason why .

After a long while war changes landscapes.
In roads to peace merge where future generations lie .

Paul,

After reading your bio, this wonderful write sadly sounds like your childhood. May you never have to go through that again, and may all of our children live in peace.
