I am The last young
one to remember
the face of  Daddy's Mother.
At least I thought I did
until I removed an old box
from the attic filled with
pictures, deeds and letters...
Some other things that I
had forgotten about.

There in a bible
dated back to 1711,
adoption papers; birth dates
of members on our family tree,
and this picture of Granny
who lingers on in my memory.
A childs memory fades
but now I have this everlasting
face of my Granny.
