To a friend on the net!

Lead my weight, burdened wings,
Not my heart in joy it sings,
Sombre, my tale of sorrow,
From hell that song did borrow,

Elixir from the breast of demons milk,
Of Satan’s common ilk,
Plenty nourishment of hate,
No milk of love my hungers sate,

The whip of love it beat me well,
The lashes wounds still heal and swell,
Scarred for life and hell I feel,
Permanent this seal,

I’ll not forget, this early hell,
Still demons in me dwell,
Wings of bats return to caverns deep,
There my soul it hangs to weep,

Such golden sun high in the sky,
Will ever there I fly?
A loving face there in the light,
I see it with delight,

What may it be, I do not know,
A cross it has in tow,
A breath I have of yearning,
Such love some day be earning,

Show me while my lessons learned,
Your love I have not spurned,
I learned my lessons well o lord,
Ne’r again of hate makes sport,

Untie your chains and shackles then,
Free yourself from Satan’s den
Not make unforgiving hate,
Your everlasting fate,

Preen your wings my son and fly,
To meet me in the sky,
Do like me, love and forgiveness be,
Unchain your soul, be free!

Very well said, Jasmin. If only everybody could learn that giving up their hates liberates their own soul. Satan loves nothing better than denial of this and denial of his own existence, which, I know, my friend, you have seen in the faces of his most openly dedicated followers, and in the faces of the relatively innocent who don't even know they are his followers----Jerry

I don't worry about meeting the Prince of Darkness, he couldn't do anything that my mother didn't do. He will be lucky if I don't kick him on his family jewels with a heavy Marines boot.
