I listened to this poem, and also read it. Hearing your voice speak your words, is very powerful indeed. I loved the way that you repeated "the lines continue to grow", it was a such a vivid visual for the reader. Your voice is pretty spell binding.
Thanks for sharing.
Peace, love, and light,

|Very eloquent and thoughtful, Richard. You have faced great challenges in life, and here we find some of your answers. "Soon tensions built......" and the stanzas immediately following those words are great, honest revelatory........Jerry|

|And a handsome reflection it is too - of both, the poet and the poem.
Often in life we reflect back to how it were. This is magnificently written which, to me, reflects from the soul.
God bless you!

|A beautiful poem, Richard. Looking back to the period of life in our youth does give us a mirror to measure from where we've come. It is definitely a growth process where we often stumble and fall (mistakes), get up and walk again (tackling problems), and try to make the most out of our lives.
I enjoyed your poem.

|Trials on any given journey are pretty much guaranteed in this world. It's when we can look back and not just frown, but give a wise nod to some manner of individual progress, as these lines do, that make all the difference.
