As Shadows on a Wall

Our love, CC,

So remote, so improbable.

As shadows on a wall,

if we dared to tell

who would not warn,

who would not say,

ridicules, ridicules to feel this way.

So many miles and so many years,

we’ve not seen the face of our love,

nor felt the touch of the other’s hand,

nor the sense of our lips that have never touched,

nor the press of our bodies that in our dreams warm us.

As shadows on a wall, our love.

But as shadows on a wall, my love.

A shadow on a wall tell us not only of an hidden emotions but also of a yearning, like that queen that asked "mirror mirror on the wall..." A bittersweet one Georg PS. I am calling the cavalry to get those reviews number going!
