Someone…Ed Matalack as a matter of fact just recently made the remark of my fascination over butterflies in my last poem “Blue raindrops”.

“I know that butterflies are really beautiful & their flight is quite peaceful, but boy, you must like them more than anyone I know...ed”
Well sir….you made me smile…no actually laugh out loud in a way that I have not laughed in a long time over that remark. One day you will be the captain of my yacht located down in sunny Florida and when you are…you will then see my fascination with butterflies….thanks for the laughs Ed….
Flight Of The Butterfly
On wings hushed against the silent backdrop of a brand new tomorrow.
A Butterfly in flight releases her burdens and in joy alights in fields so green.
Delicate pastels are her dress as she lands in a brave new world full of dreams.
Though the harsh winds of reality blow and threaten to cast her off her course.
She in her little butterfly faith stands fast against it all for she has already braved the worst.
To some she is just another pretty thing that flits all about each spring.
Yet I see her, this little butterfly as a friendships blessing that only God can bring.

|Beautiful, Allen! I love "her little butterfly faith" which reminds me of Jesus saying, "faith as a grain of mustard seed" People worry about having enough faith, but it really doesn't take much, just so it's faith in the right thing.
This poem is so full of faith and joy, it really uplifts me!

|I will have to share this with my daughter...whom we often equate to a butterfly. This sums up everything that a butterfly epitomizes quite perfectly...

Butterflies, to me, signify hope ... as delicate as they are, they are resilient and beautiful. Wonderful lines of freedom - well done!
