A Thousand Ugly Miles
I have walked a thousand ugly miles upon an earth filled with broken dreams.
I have seen the dark side of man and have held onto hope by tattered seams.
Though there are days in which the darkness of my soul it should try to slay.
I hold out; I preserver for now in distant dreams I see a brighter day.
I have drank my share of the bitter cup from natures bitter vine.
I have tasted hurt, yet I hold out my hope and dreams for another in time.
For she came to me upon a cloud from a far and very distant land.
She smiled and made me smile to where my heart again understands.
Some say that angels do not exist;
some feel them, yet to their soul they resist.
yet only to this heart should this simple man cleave.
That there are angels in distant lands that should to a simple soul give reprieve.

|Just keep believing in those angels, because they do exist, Allen. They are there to protect and embrace you.
You are a special man, never forget that.
Much Peace, love, and light,

|Allen, God is going to use you for greater things. Out of Leah's death will come a renewed hope, awakening. You will be used to help other people who are grieving, to show them, that no matter how hard it was, you will eventually get back to life, living. You have a testimony to share; and you have the Lord with you too. This is why you are doing so well: you are trusting the Lord to get you through. That is the key. Beautiful write, my friend, bravo! *clapping*
(((HUGS))), much love, and continued prayers~
As always, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
