DAD
Dad of all the family members you’re hardly ever mentioned
Through all the family hoopla you gets least attention
We hardly ever see you as you try to get some rest
From a weary workday to give us our very best.
When we go out for recreation and a little play
To have a little peace and contentment at home you want to stay
But through it all you pack your things and come
To bring cheer and a smile to the faces of everyone.
Dad, we owe you very much for your love and sacrifice
And pray to God up above to make your days so nice
As you reflect on God’s helping hand
To give you the strength to stand.
You comfort us everyday and protect and keep us full of joy
It’s so sweet and wonderful the gentleness you employ
There are always joyful moments and none ever sad
And we owe it all to the one and only, our ever loving Dad.
