A Love Story

I see Holy Thursday as a love story.

Washing of the feet

Jesus washed their

feet and we are to do the same

I don't beleve this was meant just

for care givers or people in

human services but everyone

Having worked with people who

weren't able to talk, walk, feed themselves,

or go the bethroom on their own

you might wonder how

can they serve?

Oh, they can

They surely can

They served as my teacher

They taught me the wisdom of being successful

Being a contributing member of society

But most of all a child of God

Success is when your heart shows

Success is being what God has

meant for you to be

Whether that is a Doctor

or whether that is someone who

communicates with expressive eyes

and a wonderful smile and laugh

Both bring healing and love

So, Jesus please help me be

what you have meant for me to be

Please help me to be a faithful servant

I may not be able to fully thank you

for everything you have done for me

But I can try and have my life

be a love story for you

Amen
