So many have written of a dogs loyalty, as I have many times, but Rufuz is unfathomable in his love & it can be seen in his actions...e

I get upset, maybe over a mouse that does not work,

Or I just say an errant word or a four letter one,

I don’t seem to raise my voice or falter,

Nor do seem to notice myself of anything alter…

Still he comes over and at me & does stare,

He sits next to me, looking at me like a hungry bear,

He lays his head on my knee with a loving glare,

I bend down to hug him & a kiss I get as if he does care…

How does he know I am the least bit upset,

Granted if I was to no one in particular yell,

But even when I am still basically calm,

He comes over and rubs against & licks my palm…

He is my dog, my protector, my companion,

Between us our bond is quite tight,

We treat each other with everything right,

I am his dad, he is my boy, as well he is my loving light…

You and Rufie are blessed to have another, particularly on your days where you feel that nobody cares. Well, I am here to tell you HE cares, and so do many others! And so does God, even though you may not want to believe in Him!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

They, our pets, are a mystery, perhaps they can feel our bad vibes, or our sad ones, even when we smile they will wag their tails participating in whatever is making us happy.
And over all, why they don't have a bad day but are ready 100% for us?
Rufuz is the only one in your life that will never break your heart.

Georg

Rufuz is a hunk! Very sweet face, very sweet poem. I would refer you to my poem, "Emmy" if you are curious how I feel about dogs...I need to write a new one as she is a year old now. It was a pleasure to read your poem, Ed, thanks. Be well, Kathy
