A STORM on the MOUNTAIN

from TRAILS TO ETERNITY

It’s a stormy day on the mountain,
The wind is howling like a banshee;
The wildlife is all in hiding,
A lightning bolt strikes an ancient tree.

The rain is coming down in sheets,
Sideways by the gusts it is blown;
Thunder rolls over the hillside,
The might of God is being shown.

Then suddenly it is over,
Storm clouds begin to move away;
Shrieking winds die and all is calm,
Soon the sun will brighten the day.

And when that begins to happen,
A sign we’ll see to let us know;
That the Word of God is truthful,
Told by the sight of His rainbow.
