Saint Raphael is one of the seven arcangels of God. He encourages "creative" types and has been known to take the body of a man to walk around us. He protects us from evil and is a healer of ills. He has also been known to matchmake a couple or two.

Saint Raphael

Saint Raphael comes to us to heal what is

Not right with his wisdom and grace

It can happen in the twinkling of an eye,

he is my muse and I am his,

Saint Raphael gets his power from the sun,

And he stokes our passions with delight,

Burning the midnight oils for us,

with a voracity of unparalleled love,

he glistens in the day for us, and glows at night

with wings and horned-head as handsome as

any can be, even when he wrestles with

Satan and his demons for our souls,

Saint Raphael is my muse and I am his,

He whispers in my ears at night,

“Let your passions flow for others like

the moving of water, and you Heal thyself

along with others.”

I missed Thinking About Angels For the Holidays...when I've clicked on it several times for a few days, it takes me to AD's Top 25...so here I am at Saint Raphael, the Angel of the Sun, which was posted in the spring season, Joyce. Saint Raphael is inspiration to keep the Devil at bay...Have a wonderful and safe, New Year 2010, Joyce. Blessed Be.

Love,
Sage

Good for St.Rafael! although, going with my present mood
I am all for St George getting rid of those bad dragons.
But St.Rafael has helped a lot, because Satan doesn't want
my soul, he said I was too complicated and that he didn't
play chess.(he saw me playing chess with Him)

This is a wonderful poem Joyce. It must have been him who whispered my last poem to me. It came to me in a dream and is so different from what I normally write. I enjoyed visiting the link you provided also.
Thank you,
Marcia
