Depression is worse than death!

My middle age crisis put me in the garden of Gethsemane just like Jesus more than two thousand years ago. Let me tell you , my friends, Gethsemane has not changed since. I experienced firsthand what Jesus must have gone through that terrible night where the only alternative was to proceed on a path one DOES NOT want to walk on.

I am including this poem here for those poor souls who find themselves in the vortex of depression. You are not alone! Pray to make it through it as I pray along with you.

Let’s talk about depression!

When your hopes and dreams

Have been crushed

When loneliness and adversity

Reign supreme in your life

When the smile is gone, never to return

When tomorrow has lost its entire luster

When anticipation has been dead for years

When the birds sing for everyone else

When the flowers don’t bloom for you

When the day is very long

And the night is very short

When all seems fine on the outside

But it is hell inside,

When you look in the mirror

And Death is looking back at you,

When you just wait for your fate

To complete its painful course

Know the feeling well. But depression is like everything else in life, it is only temporary. Have a good day. Liz
