I once knew a fairy named Maddie

Her wings were all withered and torn

Her hair was all matted and knotty

Her dress was all dirty and worn

The sun had stopped shining in summer

The sky had done nothing but rain

The wind hadn’t once stopped it’s howling

It could drive a sane person insane

The wind had got hold of sweet Maddie

And spun her about in it’s storm

The rain did a good job of drenching

She was cold when she should have been warm

So now she was stuck in a spider web

Her wings just too weak to get free

She cried silver tears in the darkness

There was no one to help her but me

I plucked her quite gently from danger

And washed her right up in the sink

I dried her dress and combed her hair

And gave her a pillow of pink

She smiled as the sun warmed the window

And the wind blew the clouds from the sky

The rain toned it down to a drizzle

And sweet Maddie, wings dry, said Goodbye

Love this. Such a sweet story. Where would be without fairies,
angels or fantasy? Love, Joyce

I love this nursery rhyme like write and I am sure kids will as well, would suggest maybe changing font...hard to read in this one and it distracts from the excellant quality of your words.
