They are part of your family, and dam it they leave too soon.

He was just a cat

but not to me

he knew what I was feeling

every single day.

Put a smile on my face

as he made his daily round

sniffing all the plants

with an appearance of

I look so proud.

Never liked to be man handled

took his time

then when he was ready

he would sit beside you

fall asleep

with purring rumbles

miss him so much

after all these years

still I can shed

tears upon tears.
