ADHD Mind Oh Boy!

ADHD Mind oh boy!
Exploding electrical fireworks,
A perpetual kaleidoscope
Of animated, Technicolor
And Dolby surround sound,
Noise, images and thoughts,
Unrelated, fragmented and agitated,
No normal separation between
Any past, present and future;
Now if you can, try this—
Imagine just one minute
Full of bizarre Beatles lyrics,
Metaphorical biblical scriptures
Puffy clouds and frozen waterfalls,
Yellow Hummers & red Maseratis,
Upside-down black Hurst
Sliding past them both
A talking hamper of dirty clothes,
Twin tornadoes of plastic toys,
Elk and buffalo playing football,
A junk yard stacked with tires,
With flowers in the center,
All having a crazy conversation—
With meaningless words,
Un-seeable sights.
And garbled sounds,
Trying to peel away
The sky from the landscape;
No listening, just shouting,
Mumbling and signing,
Somewhere near nutty insane,
Giving you a giant migraine,
And oh yes,
Dreams are much worse;
This one minute flicker
Is oh so much quicker,
Than everyone else’s hour.
Sea sick ahoy,
ADHD mind oh boy!
