A Soak in my Sea...

Tis the same sea

Of others who of it write

But to each it is right

Or facing south left

Living without her

I would be bereft…

The waves greet me

With their steady hum

Soaking in the sea

With a sparkling rum

Never near her do I feel glum

Felt this way since I was quite wee…

Created by God

Nurtured by Nature

The sea is there for all

Protected by many a dolphin pod

After all these years

Still able to of me enthrall…

The wind, mosquitoes, gulls, and waves crashing drive me crazy. Prefer crickets, mosquitoes, frogs, and owls.

Gotta admit that looks pretty inviting today. I'm with Mr.Ed though, I've got the spa set to a cool 75. Thus soaking in the spa with some left over blue moon.

I loved the bottom lines of this poem:

"Created by God Nurtured by Nature

The sea is there for all Protected by many a dolphin pod

After all these years Still able to of me enthrall…"

Amen

This is your forte, Ed: writing of the sea and it's waves and it's clearing of the mind with great memories! Hope Rufuz is there to share with you. Seems like a wonderful day for you two!

Soaking in the sea,
With a sparkling rum

Sounds almost as delightful
As soaking in a lake with my bourbon!

Ain't nothin' more relaxin' than the sounds of the waves. *sighhh* You took me back to New Jersey with this calm, aesthetic, tranquil write! Very well penned, Ed; thank you!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D *ahhhhhh*
