Goodbye,

I hear those word echoed across time,

Spoken in a whisper, shouted across miles.

I hear them when no words are ever spoken.

Goodbye,

They can be sad, or even frightful, but not glad,

They are hurtful and cruel, unkind in what they say.

I memorize the face the look the action.

Goodbye,

Oh how i wish they were never so,

How they would just go and not return.

They take love and life and all hope with them.

Goodbye.

Very intense young Jenn, but to be able to say goodbye and feel sadness also means we had to know the person well, and perhaps even love them if the hurt of goodbye is strong and as the old saying goes..."it is better to have loved and lost..." Great write.
