Walking On Air
He walks across the sandy soil, yet his feet hardly touch the ground.
He came on silver wings daring to but dream, and sweet truth he found.
Her face shone like a thousand stars, her smile more brilliant than the Florida sun.
Though he is to leave soon, he knows now and forever his heart is eternally
So now as he sits on the concourse watching a thousand people walk by.
He remembers those few, precious, most wonderful days and the sadness of saying goodbye.
Yet still he remembers, and he smiles; he thinks of someday soon; he thinks of the days ahead.
He recalls each precious moment that they shared, and his heart is forever glad.
If he could but wholly express the inner feelings, the feelings that surge like the Florida heat through his veins.
He may then be able to explain walking on air, and the joy that she and July did truly bring.
