Imagine recieving a note of warning from tomorrow?

As I walked along the coast

a sheet of paper fell at my feet,

I could see it was not rubbish

it was hand written neat.

I picked it up and read it

so sad it made me feel,

it said it was from the last person

to survive Our Earthly hell.

The words that I read

talked of so much pain

of how pollution destroyed the soil

the sea as well as the rain.

How all life fell asleep

in agony and pain,

none awoke next morning

and no creatures remained.

That this note was written

was that it be

so everyone may know

tomorrows history,

tis not many years ahead

unless we change our ways,

there's nothing left

for tomorrow

if we carry on this way.

I thought it was a joke

meant to make me sad

I wanted to find someone to blame,

then I saw it was written

as if to me

in my grandsons name

yet he is but a baby.

Foolish are my thoughts

but the effect its had on me

was like crashing myself

into a tree.

Is this our tomorrows?

maybe unless we change,

the way ahead

is uncertain

if we choose to remain.

John,

This is a very powerful write, and makes one pay attention. As we destroy the planet with a blind eye, it's the next generation that will suffer.
