God sent me from Heaven
To stand by your side
Don't be afraid, little one
God heard you when you cried
He knows your sickness is great
How weary is your soul
I'm here to help you across
God's heavenly threshold

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Your Mama rocks you to sleep
Her tears flow as cold rain
She feels her tiny baby's
Burning fever and pain
She knows the end is near
Her heart is breaking in two
She doesn't see me now
Or know I've come for you

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

You are one of God's chosen
And Angel you will be
A halo with beautiful wings
And you will look like me
God grants some many years
Some only days
We aren't here to question
God's mysterious ways

<><><><><><><><><><><>><><><>

Mama lowers you in your bed
Do you see the light
Take my hand and come
God wants you tonight
He'll take away all your pain
You won't cry anymore
Such peace and beauty lies
Just beyond heavens door

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

God sent me from Heaven
To stand by your side
Don't be afraid , little one
God heard you when you cried

A very moving poem that should be send to many publications for many parents to read and take comfort from strangers, because them are giving that comfort it with sincerity.
Well done!

A beautiful, heartfelt offering that brings me to tears.

Forgive me for intruding, now, but see how varied some of us are in our feelings for our dear children by reading my poem, "Oh, Dear God,
Tell me Why!" and my author's footnote to that poem.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful insight, Linda.

Richard
