A Rose on Snow from Webshots

A beauty rose from Alpine snows,
to shatter my existence.

A beauty rose from murky morose,
to challenge my persistence.

A beauty rose eclipsed my nose,
with the aroma of my insistence.

No one knows a beauty rose,
in the flower bed of resistance.

No one chose a beauty rose,
amid the flower of splendor.

I chose a beauty rose,
to put my life asunder.

Would you choose a beauty rose,
to pillage or to plunder?

No one knows a beauty rose,
for she still lies down under.

This is full of wonderful meter, metaphor and your classic, consciously chosen line endings. I'm always partial to poems about flowers. I recently bought a cheap digital camera and have been closely shooting my neighbor's exotic plants hanging over his privacy fence. The midsummer bloom of "wild grape" (I think) has really uplifted my spirits lately during these lonely days...

there is promise and definition in your poem Ron -- another truly creative piece to savor after many perusals -- the symbolism enshrined in your last line, is fantastic, "No one knows a beauty rose, for she still lies down under" -- the structure and methodology are first rate -- but, it is the message that captivates me - peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael

A rose in snow is very symbolic and subject to individual interpretation. This is uniquely well done, Ron. Thank you. Love and peace,

I love the poetic progression. The put my life asunder line is intriguing.
