The rain has stopped, the sky is blue
It's time to go fishing and catch a few
A shore side lunch, sure sounds good to me
Fish or hot dogs, well I guess we will have to see

The Saint Lawrence river, is calm as it can be
It's a wonderful clear sky, as far as the eye can see
Enjoying the great outdoors, yes at its very best
One day out fishing, is good as a week of rest

Launch the boat, wet a line
Yes this day will be oh so fine
Floating down the river, on this clear day
I feel like a kid again, outside at play

Are the fish biting you ask, well I guess we will soon see
I do know this, there is no place, I would rather be

Last time I went fishing I got a right rubber boot, never fished the left one, though. Now ain't walking just jumpin'around!

I love that song, but:

Very sadly, one of the very reasons
My first marriage, it died in a bog;
She took me, for about everything I had,
Except my trusty fishin gear, and my dog!

Good Luck!

Let's have a fish fry...
