This is a poem about a kind soul in the diversity and tribulations of life.

He looks at life with different views

he sees and listens and acts

with purpose and determination

with bare hands and blessed mind

raises a family among friends

he lives among nature's preserves

toiling the learn and learning tradecrafts

he wanders the land to provide a living

from strength and mind of his

yet harbours no ill-will for others

as the work and prayers wash all filth

he remains pure and just

giving never asking for more

he earns respect and wonder

of how to persist in such a world

where mind and brawn work as one

and success has no name

yet he fathers daughters and sons

that are strong and determined souls

they inherited the pioneer legacy

and provide depth in their families' strength

that they owe Abe Soh, the provider, the father
