To stroll along a beach is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate body and soul...

Sea Shells and Beach Glass

I often stroll the shores in sweet surrender

To the charms of this simpler serene place

So far removed from morning city traffic

No positioning here for that rat race

Eager eyes search beach for perfect sea shells

Beach glass and tide worn driftwood too

It’s a Nova Scotia kind of seashore morning

And I’ve really got nothing better to do

Orange sunlight flickers off an amber treasure

Jeweled glass company for a silver dollar shell

Look a twisted piece of ocean-sanded driftwood

A perfect picture frame for a wishing will

A seagull calls good morning to a barking dog,

the salt water waves caress my feet

I think of you and wish you could be here

On the morning shores of Evangeline we’d meet…

This imagery is so appealing to me. Perhaps because I'm stuck in the rat race you mention. Vacations are just a memory for me. Beautifully penned and relaxing. Hugs,

Wow, what a gorgeous scene you paint here with your words. It makes the reader imagine sitting there beside you in the sand taking in the beauty of Evangeline's shores.
