There are about as many ways to win as there are people. The same thing doesn't work for everyone. |

I'm still trying to win
each and everyday I begin
The Good book stresses
loving our fellow man
but at times it seems to be
the product of a messed up plan
The preacher holy man
seems to back this stand
The whole idea at times seems
to be a too high demand
It seems every time I show love
the same fool still pushes and shove
Then it moves into the turn
the other cheek theory
Trying to love a fool makes
me feel all weary
I end up being the only one
using the word sorry
It seems the only way to win
is to stay far away from the
maddening crowd
love from a distant and
don't get loud
But even from far away
some fools still mess up the day
especially when they can't
match your play

Where I Come From Winners And Losers Mean Same Thing,i.e. Like Me If I Were You I'd Be More Interested In Fact:
I Didn't Win,I Didn't Lose,But
I Sure As Hell I Am Going Too Collect...
You Will Be My Witness...

| Saying "I'm sorry" has a way of belittling you. I have learned that from experience. We are, one an all, subject to or pre-conceived thoughts and prejudices. When it comes to love, that is the only emotion, I have found, that allows the heart to rule, and when the heart senses that love is being flaunted and ridiculed it acts, not necessarily in the best interest of itself. Loving our fellow man is preconditioned by loving ourselves first. Not egotistical self love, but loving who we are. Got a bit carried away here, I suppose, just trying to make some sense of my thoughts. |
