Answered Prayers

The sky weeps
But is it despair
Or joy
That soaks the earth
With its tears?
God has answered
The cries of his children;
But fickle humans grumble
As
The days and days
Of endless showers
Confine them
Inside
Lest they be soaked
With heaven's blessings,
And conveniently forget
This time last year
When, over parched earth,
They prayed
Repeatedly
For rain.
Perhaps...
They should not
Have prayed so hard?

Dear Becca, no, the skies aren't weeping in despair, those tears that are falling are forced out when laughing so hard at us.
We should mend our ways...pronto!

Never satisfied, are humans? NEVER. They whine if too little, they whine if too much ... hmmm. Sounds like me, sometimes. (As my Mama used to say, "You want some cheese to go with that WHINE?" LOL) An excellent, thought provoking write to take blessings in whatever form they come! Well done, Rebecca.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

...I HAVE FOUND THAT THE HUMAN RACE AT TIMES CAN BE SO, AS YOU SAY, FICKEL; IN THE SUMMER...THEY COMPLAIN ITS TOO HOT, IN THEY WINTER...THEY COMPLAIN ITS TOO COLD. WHATEVER GOD ALLOWS - THEY ARE NEVER SATISFIED. SHAME, BUT...THANK GOD FOR ANSWERED PRAYER AND ONE THAT 'REMEMBERS'.
