For those who asked how I stay positive when
negative things happen. I use whatever methods make sense to me,gleaned from a variety of reputable sources.

~*~

I take the act of balancing to heart
and use anything I can as a part
of keeping it all together as a whole
it's the best way to treat my soul

If you use the principle doshas of vata,
pitta, and kapha, you can keep a better
relationship between the knower, and
the known.

One way is to use rishi (your inner self)
devata(your senses, process of knowing)
and chhandas(The known)

Maharishi Ayur-Veda regards  the doshas
as expressions of these  deeper structures
so that, going to bed early, eating at proper
times, etc balance vata. Just as sitting by a
waterfall, or similar refreshment (pitta) are
aids to health,  and will awaken your full potential.

All of these teachings are affirmations
of things I remember my mother teaching
us. Perhaps you too remember, and  it was
also taught in school in early grades

"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a
person healthy wealthy and wise." So
it's nice to know that no matter the nation,
we all seem to have similar education,
in maxim's.

And let us not forget, for real balance:

"On morning wings how active springs
the mind that leaves the load of yesterday
behind." ...    Alexander Pope

Finally..."In Christ who is the source  of my
strength, I have strength for everything "
Philippians 4:13...

Very inspirational, I enjoyed

"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a person healthy wealthy and wise."

I do this but I wouldn't say I'm healthy, I'm not wealthy or wise
I will give this some thought, I must be doing something wrong :)
Have a great one

Travelling light and living in the moment unburdens our bodies and souls of many unnecessary things, Eileen, and you were blessed to have been taught of such wisdoms and truths at your Mom's or Granny's knee. We as humans are probably at saturation point of being in overload 24/7, racing ever faster round a mindless, fruitless and pointless hamster wheel of our own making and getting back to basics, back to nature, back to simplicity has to be the way to go. Since I have lived at the coast, my wants/desires in the material sense have whittled away to barely none, whereas my wish to expand my inner self in qualitative and quantitive terms has increased many fold. You have found the path to true and lasting healing which is holistic and sustainable, drawing on natural sources of strength both within and without: positivity (bestowed and engendered) being one of them. Get well soon! :)) xx

Okay, my friend, you are speaking in another tongue for the most part here. However one may describe their method for keeping the chin up and the smiling face, it all, every darn time, comes from your inner self. I have been know to take off on many a whining trip both real-life and poetically as anyone here who knows me can attest to. Finding that inner kernel which give you positive vibes really isn't difficult as long as you have an peaceful inner self it can attach itself to.
