aloof
dull mists of pain
cloud the memory,
scathing the doubts
leaving the closet-doors of the mind
slightly ajar, barring entry
misting misconceptions
of mental meanderings
unsure of reality, relying solely
on smoke signals of fear
fanning fallowed flames
spewing ashen drift-dew
o'er furtive mind-fields
laxing reality
into imagery of
blanketed snow
burned from agony
blistered by confusion's
precipitation...aloof
