Try as you might you can't hide the love in your heart

For once you start something it takes on a life of its own

I am more than aware of what is beating in your heart

Just like the snail leaves his slippery trail across the ground

You can't fool me with all your schemes and wiles

For I have been around the block a good few times

And I know the difference between dross and gold

So don't try to pull the wool over this man's eyes

For I can see clearly the truth from all your gilded lies

Nothing is hidden from my discerning gaze

Just like the sun's rays scatter the early morning dew

One day you will realise it was you that you fooled

And the cock will crow but it will be too late for you

Telling it like it is. That "love" word is the cause of more grief than happiness II believe. People can't just have a relationship without bring the "love" word into it. From the very first "I love you," problems are not usually long in coming.
