Wearing my heart
Upon my sleeve
I venture forth
In search of love
"Will you take it?"
I ask, over and over,
But no one wants it,
They only want
The body
That comes with it,
And then,
For only a night
Or an afternoon.
Eventually I learn
To hide my heart
And feign disinterest,
To play the silly games
That men seem
To want to play,
When I prefer
An honest approach.
Maybe someday
I'll meet someone
Who is as tired
Of the games
As I am.

Silly games of love...are them invented by emotional hustlers?

You articulate it well. Games are tiring.
