All Hallow’s Eve

The ghosts and goblins who some believe reside,

In walls and graveyards and within our homes,

Can’t hold a candle to the creepiness I feel,

When the realities of some of life are realized.

Adults who put children through dismal,

And  neglected existences with never enough of anything,

And those who shoot at one another,

Based on the colors they wear or where they hang out.

But then the little witches and goblins come out,

In all their cuteness on this All Hallow’s Eve,

And I smile to see these little ones,

Calling, “Trick or Treat” and having fun.

A good reminder about how the month of October puts us into the spirit world of the real ghosts. The kids love this holiday and when supervised on All Hallow's Eve, everything turns out well...it's good the hospitals do the free monitoring of the candy through their X-ray machines to keep it safe for the kids...thanks Karen.
