About baseball and life, which always seem to go so well together. |

No color,
No excitement.
Life's so dull
After all.
A ball
Lightly tossed
Has no value
To those who
Fire it right
Under your chin.
But new
Uniforms
Keeping our
Eyes ablaze
Reminding us
Of past hate.
We yell!
We yell!
So they know
How we feel.
They cannot
Overpower us!
No soul,
No feeling.
Happiness
Keeps us dull.
We all care
Too much—
No one hates
Everyone.
Sure the crazies
Will claim
We're wrong,
And that
We could all
Die—
But even they
Need those that
Count!
Even they
Can't keep
Me down,
In the dumps
And bored.
