Alone,

Alone with my thoughts.

I hear the quiet hum of the computer,

The gentle sway of a ceiling fan a little off balance,

The soft yet heavy breathing of my husband,

As dreams dance behind his eyes.

And I ponder, nothing much.

I think about life and love,

I wonder what will and wont be.

Thinking myself asleep or is it awake.

I sit here and think alone.

Alone,

Alone with my thoughts.

I hear the tapping of the keys as I type,

A small dog dreaming at his masters feet,

And two crazy cats playing in the tub.

They haven't realized the sun is not up.

I think to myself some more and wonder.

I wonder if the world is going to get better,

If perhaps this is as good as it gets.

I think about family and heritage.

I think about friends who are alone.

Alone,

Alone with my thoughts.

I think about life.

I can appreciate where you are "coming from" within these verses, Jennifer. I find what you have expressed very "close" to me. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

Regis

It is always good to take a few moments alone now and then of quiet time to let our minds and hearts regroup and appreciate what is so beautiful in this world over the things that are not. Well expressed Jenn.
