Man, the chosen one?

Lately we having hear of many a man that proclaims to have all the solutions to all the problems. He will tell the world about how angry they are in the next galaxy because we are spoiling ours and how he can fix it if we do what he tell us and please sign the paper!
An "inconvenient question" is man bigger than Nature when it comes to make a mess of the planet whole?
If man was created with God's image, who are all the morons going around?!

Less significant than nothing
man has taken a measure of himself
as the chosen one,

without even looking out
to that for ever big a Universe
and then realize,

to being totally and utterly invisible
to anyone or anything far enough,
but not to his God;

man, has ignored the fallacy
that let his thoughts to grow
and become so arrogant,

disregarding being less than nothing,
he thought of himself…
…as the chosen one.

The ultimate folly is man's belief that he can somehow overtake nature. He disregards the fact that he himself is a part of that same nature he seeks to conquer. Only a part. Balance and harmony will prevail, even if man shall be destroyed in the process. Better to understand and live "with" this natural law. Great piece here my friend.

"If man was made in Gods image who are all the morons?"
A sobering question Edvard. But there is only One Christ.
And He became the firstfruits of an entirely new race of beings.
The clock is ticking, and lines have been drawn in the sand.
Time to take a stand for what you believe in.

"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood." Revelation 22: 14-15

Georg, you are such a wise man
Your soul is very beautiful in it’s wisdom
And a master at your expression enlightens us all…
…I feel arrogance is a lonely heart that suffers from entitlements
and self inflated thoughts of supremacy...

Enough can't be said about man's arrogance. Nothing seems to curb it. Your poem is a service.

I like this. I have often thought the same, quite presumptious of us to select ourselfes as especially blessed, when in fact we're nothing more or nothing less than any other creature.

The one that got away Georg? You are right, the ones that kill two hundred fifty thousand innocent calfs in Nepal to appease their God, or millions of Turkeys to appease their gut, or mother earth herself as you mentioned, the very planet that would sustain them, intelligent life might be out there, and just because we have learned to fit one mechanical wheel into another, does not mean it resides here. As Goethe once said, paraphrasing, when ask about intelligent life on this planet, He thought it the insane asylum of the universe, judging by our behaviour. Bless you! Jasmin Horst

Georg, We know that the Great Spirit is the bearer of all news to mankind, Does anyone really listen or see anymore?
I think not. What goes around comes around. fortunately or unfortunately depends on where you are standing.
Much peace, love, and light,

I must agree, it has always rather perplexed me that the human ego has made itself the central purpose of creation, judging from it's record,
& appears more to degrade the intelligence of Consciousness that gives rise to Creation than esteem it!

Good write, Georg, if one reads the Hebrew scripture, we learn that God gave "man" responsible for the creation. A tall order and we are falling down on the job.

A thought provoking write indeed my friend...I have wondered about those whom think they know what's best for our nation...and only seem to have or seem to be making a mess. I agree with Karen, when God was taken out of schools, homes and now so many lives...well look around at all the sadness, destrction, and total chaos...I too shudder to think about what the future may hold for my grandchildren. Also reminds me to stress values, morals, and faith as much as possible especially in the day we are living in. A very powerful write that is thought provoking and honest from the heart.
Well done.
Blessings from Ky.

When prayer and God was removed from our nation's schools and homes, that was the start of man's downfall. I often think what will happen if mankind gives up on Him completely: I shudder at the consequences! God help us all! Sad and powerful write, Georg; well done!

If man was created in God's image, who are all the morons going around?!

I ask myself that more and more each day. And now I often wonder if God has already given up on mankind, and already moved to another galaxy - far, far away.

The problem, Georg, is that Man has decided to remove God out of the equation all together: all that equals is chaos. Powerfully penned, well done.

Chosen all right......We have chosen to ignore warning signs and continue to thirst for oil to fuel our need for power as we polute ourselves to death.
So it goes with the egotistical, destructive species known as Man.
