Dealing with the hatreds among some people.
|
There's talk that hurts
and talk that heals,
theres words unkind
and words that know how you feel,
yet inbetween
there is hurting silence
nothing right
and nothing wrong,
just a feeling like
you dont belong,
that these silent faces
want you to move on.
Your not a criminal
hurt no one
just a question of what side of the tracks
you come from.
'If your names not down
you cant come in.'
their silent words
are chanting.
'We dont want your kind
in or around here.'
its in their eyes
in their glare,
so you turn away
what can you do,
there's talk that hurts
there's talk that heals.
You just move on
keep your nose clean
tell em all
'Have a good day.'
Maybe one day
things will change
who knows how to play this game,
color creed
race or religion
let God finish
what they are doing,
you have no hate
nor dispute with them
leave it be
until when.

HE CAN TALK AND ENLIGHTEN ANOTHER'S HEART AND MIND BETTER THAN YOU. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VERY TIMELY WORK...BLESSINGS. JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS |

I am glad to remain among the clueless who can't understand why people don't celebrate what is- and each other.

Right on my friend. I do not know how old you are but I do go back a long ways. I remember water fountains and bathrooms that were restricted to one race only. Things are changing but still to slowly. This was an outstanding writing!!
GOD BLESS
