Horror in the Hotel by Abdi-Noor Haji Mohamed (Eagle Of Hope) Saturday, December 05, 2009 Rated "G" by the Author. Share Print Save Become a Fan At Hotel Shamo in Mogadishu a veiled suicide bomber slipped into conference hall and blew up himself, killing 22 persons including three cabinet ministers (one of them was my friend Ahmed Abdullahi Waayeel, minster of Education). He came there to attend a graduation ceremony held for the medical students from University of Benadir. I dedicate this poem to him and to all those who have lost their lives in that barbaric act of terrorism. They gathered for inauguration Their faces glowed like a moon They came to receive certificates But evil rewarded them with a bomb A veiled suicide bomber blew them up He reduced them to pieces of flesh Floating on a pool of fresh blood He Shattered the dreams of a nation Destroyed the hearts of parents Plunged souls in depths of agony Is violence is a way of appeasing Allah Or is it the terrorist who hijacks Islam? I put this question not to he non-moslem But to the Moslems themselves worldwide Those who aspire to live in peace But keep silent when terrorists strike��

You are brave to speak out, Abdi Noor,and I applaud you. We need more like you! No mattr who the terrorist is it should never be hidden,or we can't survive their terror! So sorry for the loss of your friend! Heartbreaking indeed! God keep you and your family in His care!

Heartbreaking indeed. Why do we do this to our own brothers and sisters? This is insane. Another sign of the times, I guess; just awful. Or is all that's been happening throughout the world a sign of the END TIMES? May God have mercy on us all. I'm so sorry for your loss my friend.

Terrorist have hijacked Islam, not out of a religious belief, but as a banner for giving legitimacy to their barbaric methods. Why two billion of Muslims keep quite about it is a mystery, do they believe their terrorists are acting in the name of Allah? Georg
