Remembering Dad.

Please check out www.jonengland.com.

Jon has all 4 CDs I was able to make from Dad's recordings- and is helping enhance their quality.

Just One Life

There’s just one life-
One chance to be a Dad-
He loved one wife,
And all three kids they had.

I was the first-
And last to say “Goodbye.”
To life well versed-
I didn’t think would die.

I miss him now-
More than I thought I would.
Sickness somehow-
Can be misunderstood.

But in those times
When he had peace of mind-
Like perfect rhymes-
The best that I could find.

He put us first-
In all that he would do-
Through best and worst-
Was there to see us through.

A life lived well-
Piano played so fine,
And like a spell-
His music still is mine.

Recordings found-
A miracle to me-
Keep him around
For all eternity.

John H. Bidwell

Absolutely beautiful tribute to your dad, John. You could have been writing about my dad, for he played the piano too, by ear...and loved one wife! We are so blessed to have these treasured memories, and to share them with others, ever so precious. Indeed, they live on in photos, memories, and in dreams...where we actually communicate with them as if they were alive. God is good!
Thanks heaps for sharing.

Abundant Blessings,
Hugs,
Lena

PS I wrote a tribute to Dad...but I'm not sure it's still here, for I had delete several poems during the time I was inactive. I'll check, and if it's not here, I'll repost. :)

A fine and loving tribute, John. The love you have for your father shines throughout your verses. Would that all dads and sons had that kind of relationship. Love and peace to you,
