Asteral

As I close my eyes so tight, and let my spirit drift
I shed this earthly body, and all it holds herewith
I give my spirit to the winds, of life's cerebral plane
As I look back upon release, only my shell remains

Drifting through the cosmos, towards what has been before
Seeing clear past midnight skies, divine celestial tour
To a world, I've never touched with my earthy hands
Such a noble elegance, where only thoughts transcend

A kelioscope of colors, fanned across the sky
Glowing folds of rainbows, hues a vivid dye
Waters calm and peaceful, resting on cool shores
A heaven for a tired soul, where strength can be restored

This is an awesome write, Anita. I am a fan to many writers in the Den, but you are one of few I feel writes most similar to me. This is one I wish I'd written:) Your talent shines here. Not a word out of place. Hugs,
Sheila

Anita, poetry to sate the soul with -- the words trouble, woe and conflict do not exist in the lexicon of your free drift in space -- very beautiful -- peace and love to you -- Jon Michael

So wonderful to see you back with such an uplifting and inspiring write, Anita. Your beautiful lyric and visuals transport us to higher planes of body, mind and spirit and enable us not only to dream, but to SEE. Your art must be transcendent these days. Seasons greetings and love always, Kate xx

It is wonderful that the human mind accompanied by heart and soul can take a trip like this whenever we really feel the urge just by closing our eyes.
